Native to the Lubbock area, Morry grew up in the small community of Ralls. After graduation, Morry pursued a career in sales where he has successfully operated for over 30 years. Additionally, Morry became an ordained Pastor in 2016 where he served in an executive role for 4 years.  Morry began serving as an Ambassador for the South Plains chapter of FCA in 2023.  He is active in several non-profit organizations where he serves as a board member.

     Morry's involvement in youth sports began with his eldest daughter.  Every year since 1996, he has coached a youth sports team or served in an officiating capacity.  Morry's heart is to connect the game of sports to the game of life, where establishing a relationship with Jesus Christ is the ultimate "win."

     Morry and his wife, Emily, have been married since 2011.  They have 4 children: Aubrey, Alexis, Messer and Manning and 8 grandchildren.   Morry and Emily are members at Church on the Rock where they serve in various capacities.  When they are not on a ball field, Morry and his family enjoy visiting MLB stadiums and frequently retreat to Colorado to enjoy camping, fly fishing and hiking.
